Enjoy a Contemporary Take on "Cha Chaan Teng" Culture!
Hmm.. where should we go to enjoy a pre-Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, then, I thought of Holt's Cafe, one of the wonderful eateries in Victoria Dockside's newest inhabitant, the Rosewood Hong Kong.
Holt's Cafe certainly brings a contemporary feel, comparable with all of the "Cha Chaa Teng's" that this City of Lights has to offer, but on a very up-scaled level, with a large range of dishes, both Asian and Western, including the cultural favourite, shared with family and friends alike: Dim Sum.
Our recent visit was no exception and the service was friendly and welcoming. Now, let's take a look at some of the delights we experienced that evening, as well as on previous occasions.
CHEF's RECOMMENDATION:
Premium Char Siu Rice - Iberico BBQ Pork, Organic Japanese Fried Egg, Japanese Rice with Aged Soy Sauce
Classic Fish & Chips Tartar Sauce
Steak Frites 9 oz USDA Rib Eye, Bearnaise
Kurobuta Pork Chop Wilted Spinach, Pommery Mustard Sauce
Hainan Chicken Rice - Dark Soy Sauce, Ginger, Chilli Sauce (this is almost as good, if not better than Chatterbox at the Mandarin Orchard in Singapore - highly recommend you try this here)
Leave some room for their irresistible desserts!
Apricot Sundae - Sour Cream Ice Cream, Apricot, Almond Crumble
Mango Twist - Guimaras Mango Sorbet, Fresh Mango, Coconut Sago
Hope you enjoy feasting your eyes on the above - #FHF till next review :)
