Sumptuous Courtesy Lunch with a VIP Client
Just when you thought "dim sum" could not get any better, especially in a city like Hong Kong, well known for this traditional chinese delicacy, the place I wish to showcase here has definitely taken "dim sum" to a whole new level.
As per our lovely client, whether you're in a happy, not so happy, stressed or feeling a little blue mood, a lunchtime spent in the Dim Sum Library in Pacific Place, will elevate your mood in the most wonderful way. You will most certainly leave with a skip in your step and a rather huge grin on your face..
This "黑豚肉叉燒" Honey glazed Iberico pork is absolutely delicious and the pork is so tender that it almost melts in your mouth. The honey glaze complements this so well.
Chef recommended "黑松露蝦餃" Black truffle har gau - shrimp dumplings and definitely a great recommendation. There is just the right balance of flavour from the black truffle infused with the delicate crystal skin of the dumpling, which does not overwhelm the fresh shrimp treasure inside.
Very much a popular choice by all, we have "鵝肝芋" Deep fried taro puff with foie gras, raising the level of the humble taro puff which you find in many of the traditional Chinese restaurants around the city.
Finally, we have 3 more Chef recommended delicacies, which far exceeded all our expectations and we will definitely be returning to this place for more..
Literally saving the best of the best till last:
黑椒和牛酥 Wagyu beef puff with black pepper (pure bliss, not too peppery morsels of tender beef)
擔擔湯包 Dan dan xiao long bao (subtle spicy "dan dan" broth with seasoned tasty pork) - this was "WOW" in the mouth, a culinary explosion
薑葱龍蝦包 Ginger lobster bao with spring onion (like a fragrant ginger perfume infused lobster)
Honestly far exceeded our expectations and highly recommend at least one visit.

One of my favourite from the selection we ordered is the "鵝肝桂花燻糖" Seared foie gras with Osmanthus-smoked
coddled eggs. Sounds quite decadent but absolutely a must try.
