My parents and I recently had dinner (well actually more than once recently) at one of the top five Roast Goose restaurants in Hong Kong, which just happens to be right here in Sham Tseng. Yue Kee Roast Goose Restaurant has been established here since 1958 and has seen many generations keeping the business going over the years, not without it's challenges. Famous people and celebrities have dined here; the likes of Chris Patten and Donald Tsang.

Yue Kee is one of the very few Roast Goose Restaurants in Hong Kong that are licensed to use the traditional Charcoal Grill ovens to produce their renowned crispy and tender Roast Goose. The flavour is awesome, especially served from oven to table, whilst still hot with that unmistakable aromatic and smoky flavour you only get when cooked this way - follow the journey from oven to table below:

All lined up ready to be roasted in the Charcoal Grill Ovens

All done and lined up ready for eagerly awaiting diners to enjoy

Half a Roast Goose is more than enough for 3 to 4 persons

Accompany your Roast Goose feast with more delights from the Yue Kee menu; we did:

Whitebait fried in a light batter seasoned with pepper and spices

Crunchy and lightly fried broccoli with garlic, ginger, spring onions and fresh sauteed scallops

Suitable for all vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike; a warming hot pot of mixed mushrooms, chinese vegetables and vermicelli

Come on over to Yue Kee and you will certainly not be disappointed, but suggest you book a table in advance as there is always a long queue, especially on Friday nights and weekends :)
