My first Sri Lankan Foodie Experience in Sheung Wan

How delicious could this be! Thanks to my lovely friend and colleague, Paul (hugs for the treat), I experienced our wonderful lunch today at Serendib, a charming little Sri Lankan eatery, tucked away in the heart of Sheung Wan. If you haven't tried it, go there and you won't be disappointed; also a great place to eat for all you fabulous vegetarians out there; you'll love it too x





Vegetable Kottu - chopped up Sri Lankan roti, fried with vegetables, egg and spices; absolutely delicious and so full of flavour, served with a curry of your choice, Beef curry (earthy and tender and the spices are balanced perfectly) YUM!


This rice set is served with (a curry of your choice) beef curry (in this picture) and Dhal curry - super tasty and satisfying with just the right amount of spices to tickle the palate


SPICE UP YOUR LIFE! The dhal curry is amazing; dhal is cooked with tumeric, then fried mustard seeds, cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds are added to the dhal, as well as caramelised onions. Finally, salt and milk are added and cooked for a little longer before being served
