DIM SUM: A real local favourite in HK is "Dim Sum" (from the Cantonese 點心 "touch the heart").

We are lucky here in Hong Kong. This vibrant city shares a wealth of Chinese restaurants serving delicious dim sum, a tasty array of traditional chinese delicacies, from savoury to sweet. In this image, we have "Wu Gok" fried crispy pastries, filled with flavourful, creamy textured taro and minced pork; Steamed glutinous rice dumplings filled with fresh shrimps and pea shoots; a must have at Jade Garden Restaurant in Star House TST, "Ma Tai Go" Water Chestnut pudding, lovely jelly made with brown sugar infused with crunchy water chestnut pieces; "ha gau", steamed lightly seasoned shrimps in a glutinous rice coated skin (almost transparent); "Ham Sui Gok" fried glutinous dumplings with a pork, mushroom and spring onion filling, bursting with flavour; "Dan Tat" lovely "sunshine" egg tarts with a light flaky pastry (a favourite of our last Governor of HK, Chris Patten); "Yau Yu So" fried seasoned squid, nice and tender; last but not least, stir fried tofu cubes seasoned with crispy garlic
